MEN’S HEALTH WEEK Posted or Updated on 8 Jun 2026

We are pleased to share our Men’s Health Week newsletter, bringing together key messages, support, and resources.

Men’s Health Week (15–21 June 2026) is a dedicated opportunity to raise awareness of the unique health challenges affecting men and boys, and to encourage positive action to improve wellbeing.

This year’s national theme focuses on “Men and Pharmacy”, highlighting the important role community pharmacies play in supporting men’s health. Pharmacies offer accessible and convenient advice often without the need for an appointment helping men to take early action on issues such as stopping smoking, managing long-term conditions, and improving mental wellbeing.

Alongside this, the development of the Men’s Health Strategy for England marks a significant step forward, with a long-term focus on prevention, early intervention, mental health, and improving access to services for men.

To support this, we have developed a North Lincolnshire Men’s Health Week Newsletter, bringing together key messages, practical advice, and local support. This includes:

  • Workplace guidance: A valuable resource developed by Professor Paul Galdas to support organisations in improving men’s mental health and creating supportive workplace environments
  • Practical advice on physical and mental health
  • Key messages on prevention and early help-seeking
  • Guidance on starting conversations and supporting others
  • Local services, community groups, and wellbeing opportunities
  • Events and training taking place during the week

We are also supporting the Better Man Campaign, which encourages men to reflect on their behaviours, take responsibility, and promote healthier, safer relationships.

By sharing lived experiences and challenging harmful norms, the campaign aims to spark important conversations and drive positive change. The Better Man film https://youtu.be/jv25JglpgME

We’d really encourage you to join us at our upcoming training events and take the opportunity to get booked on: https://www.northlincs.gov.uk/people-health-and-care/suicide-prevention-day-and-training/

While the pharmacy theme highlights one key access point, the overall message remains clear: seeking help early and making small, positive changes can have a big impact on health and wellbeing.

Please take a few minutes to read and share the newsletter with your teams and networks to help maximise its reach and impact across our communities.

Together, we can help reduce stigma, encourage open conversations, and support men to take positive steps towards better health.

Thank you for your continued support.
